In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Senator John Glenn’s Friendship 7 flight, the Battelle Center for Science & Technology Policy is holding an essay contest for all high school students in the state of Ohio.
Write an original 700 to 1,000-word essay discussing what the role of the U.S. government should be in promoting space flight and exploration over the next 50 years.
The top three essay winners will be invited to the NASA Future Forum being held at the John Glenn School of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University on February 21, 2011.
Deadline for entries is February 10, 2012
