Beth-Anne Schuelke-LeechAssistant Professor
Professor Schuelke-Leech’s research is focused on the allocation of public resources and public budgeting in the knowledge-based economy. Her work evaluates the outcomes and effectiveness of public and private funding in the innovation process. She also looks at the interaction of resources, institutional structure, and policy in the research, development, demonstration, and deployment of technological innovations. Currently, she is conducting research on the connection between the public funding of R&D in public and private organizations to commercialized products in nanotechnology and nuclear energy.
In 2011, Schuelke-Leech earned her doctorate from the School of Public Administration and Policy at the University of Georgia in Athens. Schuelke-Leech has extensive experience in engineering and business. She earned her undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University and a Masters of Business Administration from York University. Before undertaking doctoral studies, Schuelke-Leech worked for over a decade at General Motors of Canada and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
