The Ohio Youth in Government Program is a unique public service program that allows high school students to gain first-hand experience about how state government works.
Youth in Government enables high school students to learn the role and process of state government by serving as legislators, supreme court justices, officers, lobbyists, press, or page delegates to the Model Legislature and Supreme Court.
Participants meet twice a month from October to April and end with a three-day overnight program at the Ohio Statehouse to learn what it feels like to be a government official.
The program is a partnership with the HI-Y Youth in Government, sponsored by the Ohio-West Virginia YMCA, and the Glenn School.
